Truda Kelly-Hansen
We are saddened to tell you that Truda Kelly-Hansen, a long-time member of NWQ, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007. Known for a personality as bright as her red hair, Truda was active in our guild, tying charity quilts and attending many NWQ events and meetings, even after she lost most of her vision to macular degeneration. She was the mother of NWQ members Colleen Kelly-Ginter, a former NWQ president, and Corrine Bush. |

Marje Rhine
Congratulations to our own Marje Rhine on the publication of her first
book: "Painless Paper Piecing" If any of you are into paper piecing,
or want to try it, this is the book for you. I was prividged to
receive a copy last night, and it is very exciting. (Marje has
published many patterns, but this is her first book.)
Marje is a great teacher, very detailed and thorough. She will be at
the NW Quilting Expo on Sept 21/22/23, 2006 at the Fabric Depot booth.
She will also have a book signing at Pioneer Quilts at their open
house on November 4.
Congratulations again Marje for a quality product.
