The quilt, itself, does not need to be finished on February 29. You may complete your entry form with a picture of an unfinished quilt. This picture is used to help our committee decide on the floor pattern for hanging quilts at the show. The entry form information is needed by the committee to prepare the quilt tags for the show, the quilt show program and the ballots for voting on the quilts.

NWQ Show 2012 DVD

This year the Northwest Quilters will sell a DVD of the quilts in our show. You can order the DVD now and they will be sold at the quilt show. The cost to order is $10 now through March 28, 2012. On March 29, the cost increases to $12. The DVDs will be available to be picked up at the 2012 Quilt Show. If you require your DVD to be mailed to you, please add $3 (shipping and handling).

  • Fill out the order form.
     
  • Make check payable to Northwest Quilters.
    • $10 through March 28, 2012
    • $12 starting March 29, 2012
    • Add $3 (s & h) if you want the DVD mailed to you.
       
  • Bring order form and check to NWQ general meeting, the quilt show or mail the order form and check to:

Volunteer at the Quilt Show!

We need volunteers to set up and take down the show, to cashier, to demonstrate quilting, to assist the vendors, and ESPECIALLY to act as hostesses and hosts -- to greet guests throughout the show, to show the backs of quilts as requested, to answer questions about quilting (whatever your level of experience), and to make sure the quilts are not touched except by those wearing white gloves.

The 2012 Raffle Quilt is “Before I-84”. It is based on an original painting by Rebecca Barker – “Oregon Trail Quiltscape” © 2000. The Raffle Quilt coordinator for 2012 is Karen Esterholdt. The quilt's size is 46" X 61" . The top 1/3 is appliqué. The bottom 2/3 is pieced.

Northwest Quilters' 2012 Guild Challenge
Portals

What do you imagine when you hear a Portal?
Is it a door, a gate, an entrance to a tunnel?
Rules:
  1. Quilt must measure 30" x 30".
  2. Include a description of the meaning of your quilt.
  3. Registration Deadline is December 12, 2011.
  4. Please do not use a copyrighted design.
  5. Use your best creativity!
  6. Quilts will be voted on at the February and March, 2012 general meetings.

Silent Auction Donation Form

The Silent Auction at the NWQ Quilt Show is calling for donations. Please bring your item(s) to the Northwest Quilters' general meeting in January or February and deliver it to the blue Silent Auction basket near the kitchen. Fourth Annual Spring Show Hop
March and April 2012

Attend all three participating quilt shows, receive a stamp at each show,
and enter to win one of three gift baskets.

Rules
  1. Pick up your Passport at the "Airing of the Quilts" at Milwaukie Center.
  2. One Passport per person.
  3. Passport must have a stamp from all three quilt shows to be eligible for prizes.
  4. To be eligible for the drawing held on April 7, please turn in your Passport at the Clark County Quilt Show by 4 pm.
  5. Need not be present to win, but each person must enter their own passport.
