The quilt, itself, does not need to be finished on March 28. You may complete your entry form with a picture of an unfinished quilt. This picture is used to help our committee decide on the floor pattern for hanging quilts at the show. The entry form information is needed by the committee to prepare the quilt tags for the show, the quilt show program and the ballots for voting on the quilts.

If you have questions about registration, please contact the quilt show registrar by email at registrar@northwestquilters.org.

If you have questions about the quilt show, please contact the quilt show chairman by email at quiltshow@northwestquilters.org.

Raffle Quilt 2014
"Celtic Rose"

Raffle Quilt 2014

The 2014 Raffle Quilt measures 82" x 92". Nancy Tubbs of Blue Heron Quilts is the quilt designer. The quilt is a triple irish chain pattern. Nancy Tubbs made the center medallion and guild members sewed the chains and appliquéd the braid. It was machine quilted in a rose pattern by Pat Roche. The drawing will be at the Northwest Quilters' 2014 Quilt Show on May 3 at 4 pm.

Small-Quilt Raffle 2014

The 2014 NWQ Quilt Show will feature a Small-Quilts Raffle. We need donations of small-sized, well-made quilts in any color and any style. They don't have to be true miniatures -- though, of course, those are definitely welcomed -- but they should be well-proportioned for their size. Probably about 24" is the largest size, and much smaller is perfectly fine. Flexibility appears to be the byword.

This might be a good time to try out a new technique, a new-to-you color scheme or fabric (wool? silk?), or an intriguing design on a small scale. Finish it completely (please DO put a label on it) and donate it so attendees at our show can buy chances to win it. The money we raise will help offset the costs of the Quilt Show. Questions? Call Maureen Orr Eldred. moequilts2@comcast.net

Build-a-Block

Men, women and children designed over 600 blocks at the 2013 Quilt Show. Guild members sew the blocks, which are then used in twin quilts for children, such as the ones shown below. Since 2000, over 350 Build-a-Block twin quilts have been made and donated. These are truly a community effort, as 35-45 people have a hand in making each of these unique quilts.
