Comforting Quilts Workdays and Curbside Service
COMFORTING QUILTS IS RESUMING CURBSIDE SERVICE
The challenges of the Covid pandemic continue to dominate our lives, throwing new uncertainties in our present and in our future.
To reduce the risks to our members, Comforting Quilts canceled the workday that would have been held on Wednesday 8th September. The general meeting for the month will be entirely virtual which means that our members will not be able to deliver quilts or collect quilt making supplies from our tables in the church hall. We do not know when in-person meetings will resume but we want to make sure that you can rely on maintaining contact with Comforting Quilts.
Therefore we will offer our curbside service in October, November and December. Whether or not there is an in-person general meeting, we will still be ready to accept quilts and prepare your requests for supplies. This is the schedule:
Requests must be received BEFORE Tuesday 5th October for pick up on Tuesday 12th October, between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Requests must be received BEFORE Tuesday 2nd November for pick up on Tuesday 9th November, between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Requests must be received BEFORE Tuesday 7th December for pick up on Tuesday 14th December, between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Send your requests via email to Sue Hatt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please continue to support Comforting Quilts by making quilts, especially the doll quilts that we give to the Portland Firefighters’ Toy & Joy program. It is impossible for us to have too many doll quilts. We do not know when we will again hold a workday so please check this website and your newsletter for up-to-date plans.
