Northwest Quilters' Summer Retreat
June 26 - 29, 2023
Time to register for the Northwest Quilters’ Summer Retreat at Tilikum Retreat Center on Monday, June 26 to Thursday, June 29. No worries about the summer warm weather as each room is equipped with a window air conditioner and all work rooms have AC and fans. Attendance is limited to
34 to ensure a lower-level bed for everyone and plenty of space in the work rooms.
Tilikum Retreat Center is just five miles outside of Newberg, Oregon in a beautiful location with comfortable accommodations, great food, and a very caring staff. The 92-acre campus is surrounded by vineyards and hazelnut orchards. Tilikum grounds offer hiking trails, and the retreat center offers great summer vistas from many locations.
There are two retreat options: (1) Arrive at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26. Fee for this option is $285.00. Included are 8 meals, Monday dinner, a full breakfast, plus lunch and dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday, and brunch on Thursday. (2) Arrive Tuesday, June 27, after lunch for a fee of $250.00. Included are 5 meals: Tuesday dinner, all meals on Wednesday, and brunch on Thursday. Whichever option you chose, a great time begins when you arrive with your high spirits ready for a fun filled productive time.
Bed linens, pillows, and towels are provided by Camp Tilikum. Extra blankets are available. Other items you need to bring: your project(s), sewing machine, sewing supplies, and to make your room more personal, one of your favorite quilts. Quilt cutting mats, irons, ironing stations will be available.
Early registrations are helpful as NWQ’s retreats are planned with limited resources. Registrations will be accepted on a first come/first serve basis for a maximum of 34 participants. A minimum deposit of $85.00 is required with a completed registration form with any balance owed due by June 10.
NWQ’s retreats offer enriching experiences and we welcome your participation! Private rooms will not be available for this retreat. If they become available and you would prefer a private room at an additional cost, please contact Barbara.

If you are a vegetarian or have food sensitivities, there will a charge of $8 for special diet payable to Northwest Quilters. Tilikum has instituted a new form for gathering information about dietary needs. Please contact Barbara as noted above if you have any questions about special diets. You will be provided with a link to the on-line form that must be completed by the March 10 deadline for final payment.
