The speaker for the evening meeting will be Karen Walker with
Laugh Yourself Into Stitches
Karen is a fabric designer with Riley Blake (as well as a quilter, longarmer and pattern designer). She will tell us how she came to be a designer and what the process entails (hint: it took over a year from design submission to her fabric appearing in shops)! Batiks have a completely different design approach and we'll hear about is next for one of her designs. Karen will bring 20 of her quilts that showcase design aspects.
